I am a jazz composer of both instrumentals and vocal tunes. My melodies can be very busy with respect to the number of notes in each figure or phrase. Brittany clearly has the sensitivity and intuitiveness that enables her to write an authentic, honest and moving lyric while staying nicely to the framework of even a complex melody, as well as a straight forward melody. She articulates emotions that resonate with the listener by choosing convincing, artistic and balanced language allowing the listener to place themselves within that framework of the story (which in my view is a very important variable). Brittany is a pleasant person, a good person and very easy with which to work. She clearly enjoys the craft, which is a plus when working with someone who has such an important role in the songwriting process.
